Pipedrive alternative for phone sales teams: NerdCRM at $4/seat
Pipedrive vs NerdCRM for a small team that sells by phone: price at 5 and 10 seats, how each handles calling and call recording, and when each is the better pick.
Pipedrive Lite is $14 per seat per month billed yearly and has no built-in calling, so phone teams add a marketplace app such as CloudTalk, Aircall or JustCall and pay for it separately. NerdCRM is $4 per seat per month and records calls from MicroSIP or Nerd Dial with any SIP provider, links each recording to the right deal, and can score Bangla and English calls with AI. Pick Pipedrive for a polished pipeline and a large integration marketplace; pick NerdCRM if the phone is your main channel and budget matters.

Pipedrive is one of the best known pipeline CRMs for small teams. It is built around the deal board, and it leaves calling to its marketplace. For a team that sells mostly by phone, that means two products and two bills: Pipedrive for the pipeline, and a calling app for dialing and recording.
NerdCRM puts calling at the centre. Reps keep the softphone and SIP provider they already use, and every recording lands on the right deal without anyone tagging it.
At a glance
At 5 seats, Pipedrive Lite is $70 a month billed yearly, before a calling app. NerdCRM is $20 a month, with call recording, WhatsApp campaigns and cold email included. At 10 seats the gap is $140 against $40.
When Pipedrive is the right pick
- You want the most polished visual pipeline and native mobile apps
- You rely on many connected tools and want a 500+ app marketplace
- You already pay for a calling tool such as Aircall or CloudTalk that has a Pipedrive app
- Email and meetings matter as much as calls
When NerdCRM is the right pick
- The phone is the main channel: recruiters, agencies, EdTech admissions, real estate, BPOs
- You already have a SIP provider and do not want to add a separate calling product
- Managers want every dial on the rep’s timeline, answered or not
- You sell in Bangla, or a mix of Bangla and English, and want AI to score the calls
- Price per seat matters: $4 with everything included
How NerdCRM handles calls
Reps call from MicroSIP on Windows or Nerd Dial on Mac. Each recording goes straight to private cloud storage and is matched to the contact and deal by phone number. Recordings are kept for 45 days at no extra cost. The optional AI Call Analysis add-on ($5 per seat per month) transcribes each call, scores it on six buying signals and marks the lead qualified, nurture, call again or disqualified.

Frequently asked questions
Does Pipedrive record calls?
Not on its own. Pipedrive says it does not have a built-in calling integration. Teams add a calling app from the Pipedrive Marketplace, such as CloudTalk, Aircall or JustCall, which handles the calls and recordings and is billed separately. Pipedrive's mobile app can also place calls over your normal phone line. NerdCRM records calls from the softphone your reps already use, with any SIP provider, and links each recording to the right contact and deal by phone number.
How much does Pipedrive cost for 5 users compared with NerdCRM?
Pipedrive Lite is $70 a month for 5 users billed yearly ($14 × 5), before any calling app. NerdCRM is $20 a month for 5 users ($4 × 5) with call recording, WhatsApp campaigns and cold email included. NerdCRM's free plan also covers up to 5 users with no credit card.
What does Pipedrive do better than NerdCRM?
Pipedrive is a mature product with a very polished pipeline view, native iOS and Android apps, AI-assisted reports, and more than 500 integrations. Its higher plans add lead generation, data enrichment, e-signatures and stronger customization. If your team works across email, meetings and many connected tools, Pipedrive is a strong pick.
Can I move from Pipedrive to NerdCRM?
Yes. Export people, organizations and deals from Pipedrive as CSV and import them with NerdCRM's CSV importer, then map your stages to a NerdCRM pipeline. Most small teams finish in an afternoon. Email hello@nerddevs.com for help with larger moves.
Is NerdCRM a Pipedrive partner or reseller?
No. NerdCRM is an independent CRM built by Nerddevs, a software company in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
