AI Call Analysis: every sales call transcribed, scored and turned into a next step

NerdCRM transcribes recorded sales calls in Bangla and English, scores each one on six buying signals, and gives every lead a clear recommendation: qualified, nurture, call again or disqualified.

AI Call Analysis is an add-on to NerdCRM that transcribes every recorded sales call (Bangla, English or a mix of both), scores it from 0 to 5 on six signals (fit, need, decision maker, budget, timing and engagement) and turns the latest conversation into one recommendation on the contact and the deal: qualified, nurture, needs another call or disqualified. It costs $5 per user per month on top of the $4 CRM plan and includes 300 analysed calls per user per month.

A phone-heavy sales team makes more calls in a day than any manager can listen to in a week. Most of what was said turns into a one-line note, or nothing. Good leads go cold because nobody flagged them, and dead leads get chased for weeks because nobody said they were never going to buy.

AI Call Analysis reads every recorded call for you and gives each lead a plain next step the whole team can see.

How it works

  1. The call is recorded and linked. Reps call from MicroSIP on Windows or Nerd Dial on Mac. The NerdCRM uploader sends the recording to the CRM and links it to the contact by phone number. See call recording.
  2. The call is transcribed. Speech to text runs with Bangla and English hints and separates the speakers, so it handles the code-switching that is normal on sales calls in Bangladesh.
  3. The call is scored on six signals, each from 0 to 5: fit, need, decision maker, budget, timing and engagement. Every score has a short note and, where there is one, a quote from the call. No evidence means a low score, not a guess.
  4. The verdict is computed in code. The signals are weighted into a 0 to 100 score and fixed rules turn it into a verdict, so results are consistent and explainable.
  5. The latest real conversation decides. Voicemail and calls that did not connect do not count. After two real conversations (configurable) a lead is always decided, so nobody stays in limbo.

The four recommendations

Recommendation What the team should do
Qualified Prioritise. Push for a demo or a close.
Nurture Keep warm with occasional follow-ups.
Needs another call Call again, with the open questions the AI lists for the next call.
Disqualified Stop spending sales time on this lead.

Where your team sees it

  • Pipeline board: every deal card shows its contact’s recommendation and score, with the reason on hover and an AI filter on the board
  • Deals list: an AI recommendation column, a filter, and two extra columns in CSV export
  • Contact and deal pages: the score, the reason and the questions for the next call
  • Each recording: its own panel with the summary, the six signals and the transcript
  • Analytics → Lead Quality: how your leads split across the four outcomes for any period

Built to be trusted

  • Shadow mode first. It scores everything and changes nothing until you switch to live.
  • You describe what you sell. Every call is judged against your own product, ideal customer, packages and who is not a fit.
  • People can overrule it. A manual status sticks; the AI keeps scoring in the background and one click hands control back.
  • Notes count. WhatsApp confirmations, demos and promises written up in notes are taken into account with the latest call.
  • Re-score without re-transcribing. Changed your product description or thresholds? Re-score past calls from their saved transcripts.

In live mode, it drives your follow-up

Live mode keeps exactly one lead tag on each contact: lead:qualified, lead:nurture, lead:in-progress or lead:disqualified. Because they are ordinary tags, your contact filters and WhatsApp campaigns can target them directly. Qualified leads can also be bumped to high priority automatically.

Pricing

AI Call Analysis is $5 per user per month on top of the $4 CRM plan. It includes 300 analysed calls per user per month, pooled across the team. Extra calls are $3 per 100, only up to a limit the owner sets (or none). Paid plans without the add-on get 20 analysed calls per user per month to try it on real calls. Details on the pricing page.

Who it is for

Teams where the phone is the sales channel and the volume is too high to review by hand: EdTech admissions, coaching centres, recruiters, real estate, agencies and BPOs. It was built and tested on the admissions team at Biddaan, an EdTech platform in Bangladesh, on thousands of real Bangla and English calls. See the phone-heavy sales use case.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI call analysis in a CRM?

It means the CRM listens to your recorded sales calls for you. In NerdCRM, each recorded call is transcribed, scored on six buying signals with quotes from the call as evidence, and rolled up into a recommendation on the contact, so managers know which leads to push and which to drop without listening to every call.

Does it understand Bangla and Banglish calls?

Yes. Transcription runs with Bangla and English language hints, so calls that switch between the two in one sentence are handled. Summaries, reasons and labels can be written in English or Bangla; you choose the output language in Settings → Call Analysis.

Which calls can it analyse?

Calls recorded through NerdCRM call recording: MicroSIP on Windows or Nerd Dial on Mac, uploaded by the NerdCRM recorder and linked to a contact by phone number. Very short calls and near silent recordings are skipped automatically. Anyone on the team can also click Analyze call on a single recording.

How is the score calculated?

The AI scores six signals from 0 to 5, each with a short note and a quote. The 0 to 100 score and the verdict are then computed in code with fixed weights and thresholds, so the same signal scores always give the same verdict. Admins can tune the thresholds.

Will the AI change my contacts on its own?

Not by default. It starts in shadow mode, where it scores and stores results and changes nothing. In live mode it keeps one lead tag on each contact (lead:qualified, lead:nurture, lead:in-progress or lead:disqualified) and can set contact priority. A person can override the status at any time and the AI will not change it back.

Do notes from the team affect the verdict?

Yes. When a contact has at least one analysed call and at least one note, the lead is judged again from the latest call, short summaries of earlier calls and the recent notes. Notes alone never create a status; a contact needs a call first.

How much does AI Call Analysis cost?

$5 per user per month on top of the $4 CRM plan, with 300 analysed calls per user per month pooled across the team. Extra calls cost $3 per 100, only up to a monthly limit the owner sets. Paid plans without the add-on get 20 analysed calls per user per month to try it. The free plan does not include AI.

What happens to recordings and transcripts?

Audio is sent to the transcription provider through a short-lived link and their copy is deleted as soon as the transcript is returned. Recordings are deleted from NerdCRM after 45 days. Transcript text is purged after a retention period, while scores, summaries and the recommendation stay on the contact.
